What is hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is warm-water based exercise treatment used for rehabilitation purposes and chronic condition management. Whether you have an injury or find land based exercise difficult/hard hydrotherapy provides a therapeutic environment for exercise.

How can it benefit me?

Hydrotherapy is low impact, meaning it’s easy on your joints and relaxes your muscles. It helps to relieve pain and improve range of movement of your joints. Hydrotherapy provides resistance to build strength without the stresses of gravity. It is beneficial for a number of different conditions including:

  • Musculockskeletal conditions

PILATES

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a type of exercise used to improve flexibility, range of movement, strength and posture awareness. Pilates based on slow controlled movements that are low impact and easy on your joints. When performed correctly Pilates can be quite challenging and is suitable for everyone from beginners through to athletes.

Justine – Exercise Physiologist and Pilates & hydrotherapy instructor

Trained at Griffith University, Justine completed her under-graduated degree in Exercise Science and post-graduate degree in Exercise Physiology.  She is current ESSA accredited and is clinical Pilates trained via the QLD Pilates institute.
